Paul has joined STRI as Turfgrass Agronomist, covering South Wales, Midlands and East Anglia, having spent the past 20 years working in greenkeeping and course management .

Paul has dedicated much of his personal time to education and training during that time achieving a range of academic qualifications including a degree in Sportsturf Science and numerous industry specific credentials.

Those within the greenkeeping profession will best know Paul for his involvement in developing  BIGGA national, regional and section education and training opportunities. Paul has been pivotal in organising and presenting many courses and events in conjunction with BIGGA, The GTC, and Pitchcare and has assisted with industry guidance and also presented with the HSE. His knowledge and experience has also been utilised by turfcare machinery manufacturers for providing training and product appraisal.

Paul has a lifelong background in golf having played on the amateur circuit in his youth and still maintains a low handicap. Most of his spare time is now dedicated to further studies and family life which he enjoys with his wife and two children.
