Gwynn was born and grew up in Malawi and later went on to study in England, South Africa and the USA. He graduated from University of Central Lancashire with a first class honors BSc in Turfgrass Science.
Gwynn is an STRI regional agronomist currently working out of north London, and covers the Thames valley region and other areas of southern England. He has a wide ranging experience of golf course management having worked with both cool and warm season grasses in England and the USA. Prior to this his background was in landscape work for local authorities and private clients in England and South Africa. He is particularly interested in the relationship between turfgrass and ecology and water management. He has a longstanding passion for golf and rugby having played both competitively since childhood and although he has hung up his rugby boots for the time being he maintains a low handicap. He is married and his wife is expecting their first child. |
