Ecological Management Planning on New Golf Course Developments

"Ecological Management Planning will ensure conservation of habitats and wildlife, important through all stages of golf course development"

Protection of the intrinsic wildlife value of the land is today high on the list of priorities where planning applications are concerned. STRI’s specialist golf course ecologists offer unrivaled expertise in the areas of habitat restoration, creation and management.

  • Habitat and species assessments will form the basis of a Management Plan covering the construction, grow-in and operational stages of the development.
  • The Plan will be specific and targeted towards the unique environment of the development site.
  • Habitat protection methodologies will be provided through each stage to ensure the successful interface between the highest quality golf course development and wildlife protection.
  • Area mapping, photography and site notes will give clarity to the management requirements. The plan remains flexible and dynamic to inform and guide tender and contractual procedures.
